Carl moved from South Africa in 2021 and joined Airey & Coles in January 2023 as a Structural Technician. Carl started his career as an apprentice to a structural engineer in 2005 doing foundation inspections and compaction tests. Displaying a keen interest in engineering, he developed his skills in engineering principals and has been involved in bespoke multi-storey housing projects and steel frame structures from concept to completion. Carl has a particular interest in reinforced concrete design and strives to broaden his knowledge to deliver the best possible results in any project he is assigned.

Being a typical South African Carl enjoys the outdoors over weekends. Spending his time surfing, cycling, hiking and playing guitar around the fire while having a braai (BBQ).
